Re: What's the opposite of the Ego state?

While on the subject of magic, I think a lot of this stuff has to do with energy more than anything except truth. (Truth first, energy second.) The cause of me living in my head so much is the momentum of the energy that flows there. From time to time I get into a contemplative mood, and then the energy is totally different. In such states I'm very conscious of the energy having been drawn out of me by the whirlwind of life, and the sitting is mostly an attempt to find a more central dimension inside me, which is more real than the whirlwind and of course more calm.

Personally I feel that calmness is overrated. (haha, I would say that, wouldn't I?) But how is a person supposed to feel alive when he's trying to wrap himself in a straight-jacket? (which is supposed to be a job somebody else has to do)

How much of the ego we beat ourselves up over is a matter of simple habit? A habitual state rather than an actual being.

Life's a f****ing injustice from the git-go. That's the whole problem in a nutshell.
